This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and a work-life balance that is conducive to support our clients’ needs efficiently. Although you will primarily be working from home, you will remain a vital part of our outpatient office team based in Columbus. The virtual setup enables counselors to manage caseloads effectively while ensuring high-quality care through a combination of individual and group therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, assessing clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
\n
• Develop and maintain personalized treatment plans tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that recovery goals are realistic and measurable.
\n
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches and therapeutic modalities that align with best practices.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to maximize effectiveness.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, and nurses, to create cohesive intervention plans that address all aspects of a client's health.
\n
• Document cases meticulously from initial consultations through to discharge, maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards as well as organizational policies.
\n
• Assist family members and caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges of their loved ones, providing guidance and resources as needed.

• Stay abreast of advancements in the field of mental health, including new treatment protocols and regulatory changes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients at Grace Place Counseling Center, encompassing various age groups and backgrounds. Our clients may be facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and behavioral disorders, necessitating tailored interventions that respect their individual needs and circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
\n
• Successful completion of relevant national examinations, including the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine, empathetic approach to client interaction.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

\n
• Prior experience in mental health counseling and familiarity with common mental health diagnoses.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, with experience in AVATAR being highly desirable.
\n
• Experience in addressing comorbid conditions, including substance use, and understanding the implications of medication prescribed by other healthcare professionals.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices as defined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
