The Bon Secours Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in San Diego, California. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet, equipped with the latest technology and treatment modalities. We primarily cater to patients with private medical insurance, emphasizing a holistic approach that prioritizes their wellness journey. Our team consists of skilled professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all working collaboratively to provide the highest standard of care.

Work Environment

This position is onsite in our home care facility, allowing for immersive patient interaction and collaboration among team members. The physical therapist will work primarily Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent schedule that promotes work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify patients' specific goals and needs, developing individualized treatment plans that promote progress.
• Manage a manageable caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, to ensure focused and personalized care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to administer appropriate therapeutic techniques and interventions designed to enhance mobility and functionality.
• Implement cost-effective treatment strategies that help reduce patients' reliance on medications and invasive surgical procedures.
• Create comprehensive care plans incorporating a variety of treatment modalities and therapeutic exercises tailored to each patient.
• Design and supervise wellness programs aimed at improving patients' fitness levels, flexibility, strength, and coordination.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, fostering an environment of encouragement to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Engage with other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care and rehabilitation.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and progress, maintaining detailed documentation of care services delivered and adjustments in treatment modalities.
• Provide ongoing education to patients regarding lifestyle changes and preventive measures that support their recovery and overall health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work predominantly with orthopedic patients seeking rehabilitation post-injury or surgery, as well as those managing chronic conditions. Your expertise will help patients regain independence and improve their everyday functions. We emphasize a patient-centered approach, ensuring each individual feels valued and cared for on their path to recovery.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid Physical Therapy license in California.
• A professional history free of disciplinary actions or sanctions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques that enhance treatment efficacy.
• Expertise in creating and executing individualized exercise protocols based on specific patient assessments.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• A track record of utilizing a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, including advanced therapeutic exercises and manual interventions.
• Proficient in applying evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time Physical Therapist position ranges between USD 100,000 and USD 120,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package.
