The Outlet Youth & Family Support Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team, primarily tasked with providing trauma-informed care to individuals navigating complex mental health challenges. Work Environment\n

This full-time position operates in a hybrid remote setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining access to our outpatient office in Reno. Our team consists of compassionate professionals who collaborate closely to ensure that every patient receives comprehensive and integrated support. While core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, flexibility in scheduling may be necessary to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to document patients' trauma histories and establish effective treatment pathways.

• Develop and tailor individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, coping strategies, and resilience bolstering.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating safe spaces for clients to process their experiences and foster healing through shared support.

• Collaborate consistently with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a well-rounded approach to patient care and treatment effectiveness.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support, assessing and responding to trauma-related emergencies with urgency and professional care.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources, fostering a supportive network outside of therapy.

• Keep detailed and accurate documentation of patient progress in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, case consultations, and team meetings focused on trauma-informed approaches to care.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, adapting strategies to meet evolving patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Outlet serves individuals impacted by trauma, with a focus on those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patient demographic ranges from adolescents to adults, each dealing with unique challenges in their mental health journey. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and strategies for resilience-building.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
