Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, focusing on severity, frequency, and duration.

• Work collaboratively with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their individual needs, life goals, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address clients' challenges effectively.

• Deliver psychoeducation to clients and their families, enhancing their understanding of mood disorders, treatment options, and self-help strategies.

• Track and assess clients' progress throughout the treatment process, making modifications to treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.

• Engage in collaborative efforts with psychiatrists and other medical staff to provide integrated care, ensuring all aspects of a client’s treatment are addressed.

• Remain current on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enrich therapeutic methodologies and client care.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in adherence to legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve primarily include individuals struggling with mood disorders, comprising a broad spectrum from young adults to older adults. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW-R, LCSW, Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist) to practice in New York State.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, especially for mood disorders like CBT and DBT.
