This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work location while contributing directly to the well-being of students. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments for students to evaluate emotional, social, and financial needs, guiding tailored interventions.

• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on adjustment issues, grief, stress management, and coping strategies.

• Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and administrative staff to facilitate a holistic approach to student mental health across the school setting.

• Develop and implement effective discharge plans, ensuring students and their families are connected to community resources after necessary intervention.

• Coordinate with external organizations to arrange post-support services, maintaining continuity in care and support.
\n
• Document all interactions and interventions accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with both school and healthcare regulations.

• Engage in crisis intervention and provide immediate support to students and families facing emergent mental health challenges.

• Participate actively in school committees, sharing expertise on social work matters and contributing to school-wide mental health initiatives.

• Educate students and families on available resources, treatment options, and strategies for navigating mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents within the school system, addressing their unique mental health needs amidst various life transitions and challenges. This role requires a deep understanding of the barriers faced by youth today, including academic pressures, family dynamics, and social relationships.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills necessary to build effective relationships within the school community.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
