Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of working remotely, allowing for a better work-life balance while ensuring that you are fully equipped to provide high-quality care via telehealth. The practice operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional adjustments to meet patient needs. Our robust digital infrastructure includes advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring seamless communication and documentation throughout your therapeutic processes.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history and formulate tailored treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that center on the goals of trauma recovery and the enhancement of resilience, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating a safe space for patients to process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and promote overall healing.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated care approach for every patient.

• Provide crisis intervention support during acute trauma-related emergencies, providing immediate care and guidance to patients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping techniques, empowering them with knowledge and available resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clientele served by our practice consists of individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and significant life events that have precipitated psychological distress. Our focus is on providing compassionate care to help these individuals navigate their unique trauma recovery journeys in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York is mandatory.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred.

• Substantial knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Experience with delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
