Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the impact of working within school settings. Your work schedule will consist of 40 hours per week, with options for shifts that range from 8 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing you to tailor your work around other commitments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individual students, parents, and groups, responding to varied emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Conduct thorough client interviews to collect and analyze information on social, personal, environmental, and health-related factors affecting client well-being.
\n
• Evaluate and implement treatment plans addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, family dynamics, and more.
\n
• Facilitate short-term crisis interventions and connect clients to community resources that can support their ongoing development.
\n
• Document and maintain detailed case records adhering to best practices, ensuring all interactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with protocols.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, school counselors, parents, and external stakeholders to support students holistically.
\n
• Stay updated with evolving best practices and therapeutic techniques relevant to the school setting, enriching the quality of care provided.

• May take on additional duties to support organizational needs as they arise.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents who may face an array of emotional and behavioral challenges. This includes supporting them through personal issues, academic stressors, family conflicts, and crises. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Must hold a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification in the state of Virginia.

• Four years of professional social work experience, preferably in school environments or direct counseling.

• Prior experience in treating behavioral mental health issues such as mood disorders, substance abuse, family counseling, and grief counseling.

• Adeptness at developing positive relationships with child and adolescent populations, focused on fostering individual strengths and resilience.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
