Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, restoring function, and enhancing mobility in accordance with the physician's prescriptions.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' functional abilities, creating a foundation for effective treatment strategies.
• Oversee the physical therapy assistants, ensuring proper execution of treatment protocols and fostering their professional growth through mentorship and guidance.
• Monitor patient progress and modify care strategies as necessary, maintaining accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment provided, and patient progress in clinical records.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage techniques, while instructing and motivating clients in self-care activities and functional tasks.
• Utilize clinical expertise to recommend modifications to prosthetic and orthotic devices, ensuring that each patient receives the most appropriate support for their rehabilitation.
• Contribute to the interdisciplinary team's efforts during case conferences by providing insights on client progress and collaborating on treatment goals.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and the proper use of assistive devices, empowering them to take an active role in their rehabilitation journey.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive, timely clinical documentation, adhering to industry regulations and branch policies.
• Act as a liaison between clients, families, and other healthcare professionals, providing consultations that foster a holistic approach to patient recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation center primarily services a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, stroke, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will play a pivotal role in evaluating and treating patients with varying levels of physical ability, tailoring interventions that meet each patient's specific rehabilitation goals. Your ability to build rapport and trust with patients will be key to their success and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program, with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy being the minimum requirement.
• A minimum of one year of experience serving as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or home care setting.
• Current and active PT licensure in the state of Florida.
• CPR certification and a valid driver's license are required to facilitate patient home evaluations if applicable.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient care.
• Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with various stakeholders including patients, families, physiotherapy assistants, and other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
