Work Environment

Your work setting is primarily onsite in the homes of patients throughout Fort Myers, Florida. This unique environment allows you to deliver personalized care in a comfortable setting for patients, making your role even more impactful. You will work a Monday through Friday schedule with rotating shifts during weekends when necessary. This flexibility allows for a balance between work commitments and personal life, fostering a supportive community atmosphere among colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities.

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and ongoing patient assessments.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, documentation, and billing as part of compliance and organizational standards.

• Utilize therapeutic interventions and technologies, monitoring their effectiveness throughout the course of treatment.

• Supervise and support Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and other support staff, guiding them in delivering optimal patient care.

• Collaborate and communicate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to align on comprehensive care strategies.

• Provide valuable feedback and suggestions for improving departmental workflows and productivity to management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve typically include individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic conditions, and those needing rehabilitation due to injury or illness. Your role is crucial in facilitating recovery and improving the functional mobility of diverse patient populations, tailoring care based on age, ability, and specific challenges that each patient presents.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate patient needs, treatment progress, and collaborative efforts with healthcare teams.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications to maintain accurate documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience working in a physical therapy capacity is preferred, with a focus on rehabilitative care.

• Experience in home health care settings is advantageous, as it provides familiarity with delivering care in various patient environments.

Compensation and Benefits

Swift Peace Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
