Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews to assess clients' emotional and psychological needs.

• Develop tailored treatment plans based on evaluated needs, ensuring to incorporate evidence-based practices aimed at promoting client progress.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various modalities to effectively engage clients in their treatment.

• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapy sessions and treatment progress, using electronic health record systems like AVATAR.

• Monitor clients’ progress in accordance with established treatment objectives, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with a network of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to align intervention strategies and support holistic client care.

• Provide resources and support to families and caregivers, helping them navigate the complexities of mental health challenges.

• Stay abreast of the latest developments in psychotherapy, adjusting interventions to incorporate new methodologies and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, encompassing individuals and families grappling with various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. As a mental health counselor, you will play a critical role in guiding these clients through their challenges, offering compassionate support and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Pass all required examinations, including the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Exam (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

• In-depth understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and collaborative care approaches.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting, with a focus on telehealth practices preferred.

• Experience with electronic health records and practice management systems, particularly AVATAR.

• Knowledge of the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and familiarity with psychotropic medications.

• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and interpersonal skills that foster a supportive therapeutic environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
