Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing for a balance between professional responsibilities and personal life. You will work primarily during standard business hours, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, understanding the severity, frequency, and duration of each case.

• Engage with clients in a collaborative manner to create customized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, goals, and preferences.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders effectively.
\n
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, explaining mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques.
\n
• Monitor and document clients' progress closely, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate diligently with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care, discussing medication management and treatment effectiveness.
\n
• Stay abreast of the latest research in mood disorders to enhance treatment strategies and approaches.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards spanning client assessments and therapy sessions.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to refine clinical skills and share insights on best practices in mental health treatment.

• Advocate for client needs and work to reduce the stigma associated with mood disorders, promoting awareness and understanding.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals affected by mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. This specialized focus allows you to develop strong therapeutic relationships and tailor interventions that seek to empower clients in their journey to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
\n
• Proven experience with evidence-based treatment models, including CBT and DBT, demonstrating a strong understanding of their applications in mood disorder treatment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of psychopharmacology and the capacity for effective collaboration with psychiatrists and healthcare teams.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, coupled with the ability to establish rapport with clients from a variety of backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with adults or adolescents dealing with mood disorders is preferred but not mandatory.

• Evidence of successful outcomes in previous mental health roles, showcasing a commitment to client care and progress.

• Experience in outpatient settings is an advantage.
