The role includes Monday through Friday hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional evenings or weekends required to meet client needs and manage practice demands.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, collaborating with the clinical team to ensure holistic care.

• Implement and monitor crisis intervention strategies, including pre-crisis and crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, and risk assessments.

• Utilize evidence-based screening tools to evaluate and track client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.

• Document all clinical interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

• Work collaboratively to create and promote positive behavior support plans, aiming for the best outcomes for our clients.

• Engage with state agencies and community partners to foster relationships that enhance service delivery and support for our clients.

• Participate actively in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring that the Clinic meets all professional and regulatory standards.

• Engage in continual learning and professional development opportunities, including attending relevant conferences, workshops, and state meetings.

• Promote the mission and values of Anchorage Counseling Center within the community, acting as an advocate for geriatric mental health.

• Perform other similar tasks as assigned by the Clinic Director to further team goals and enhance client services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation.

• A minimum of four years of recent experience in providing mental health support within a geriatric context.
