This role is primarily carried out in a remote setting, promoting flexibility and work-life balance. However, our therapists will be integrated into our vibrant community health clinic culture, participating in team meetings and professional development activities to maintain a cohesive approach to client care. Your schedule will typically follow regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, enabling you to dedicate focused time to your clients while enjoying the consistency of a standard work week.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms related to eating disorders, along with any co-occurring mental health conditions and their overall treatment needs.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific challenges, incorporating evidence-based therapies tailored to their circumstances.

• Utilize therapeutic methods such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to promote healthier attitudes towards food and body image.

• Guide clients through therapeutic sessions aimed at challenging and reshaping distorted beliefs concerning self-worth, food, and body perception.

• Equip clients with practical coping mechanisms, emotional regulation skills, and effective strategies to manage or overcome disordered eating behaviors.

• Engage in collaborative discussions with fellow healthcare providers to ensure a well-rounded approach to treatment that encompasses all aspects of the client's needs.

• Provide psychoeducational resources to clients and their families, enhancing their understanding of eating disorders and creating a nurturing recovery atmosphere.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice primarily supports individuals battling various eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. You will work collaboratively with clients from diverse backgrounds, respecting their unique experiences and tailoring your interventions accordingly. Your work will be vital in guiding these individuals toward healthier relationships with food, body image, and self-esteem.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Tennessee.

• Expertise in evidence-based practices, particularly CBT, DBT, and ACT, specifically in the context of treating eating disorders.

• A strong comprehension of the multifaceted nature of eating disorders along with the complexities of co-occurring mental health conditions.
