Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and ease of access for both counselors and clients. However, it also includes opportunities to work in our outpatient office in Tacoma, providing a comfortable and supportive environment conducive to therapy. The standard work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a work-life balance that promotes both professional and personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of patient needs, taking into account their mental, emotional, and psychological state.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans and coping strategies designed to facilitate individual patient growth and recovery.

• Provide ongoing support by monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective care.

• Engage in active listening to understand patients' experiences and challenges fully, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.

• Educate both staff and patients about effective stress and trauma coping mechanisms to enhance emotional resilience.

• Collaborate with external social and medical agencies, healthcare providers, and community outreach programs to connect patients with additional resources.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field through continuing education courses aligned with the National Certified Counselor certification, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those with a range of mental health disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in helping these patients navigate their unique challenges, offering guidance and thoughtful strategies tailored to their situations. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in Washington State.

• A minimum of three years of hands-on experience working with trauma-affected clients.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, ensuring effective communication and documentation.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate patient interactions and collaborative work with colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
