As a Security Officer Residential Community Access Control in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Security Officer at a shelter location, helping maintain a welcoming and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will monitor entry points, verify access, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and delivery records, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, and document observations and security-related incidents.
• Support a respectful, welcoming environment by communicating professionally with individuals experiencing housing instability and following established de-escalation and incident-reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
