Mountain Top Cardiology Consultants is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team in Elmira, New York. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work within the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC), where the successful candidate will operate in a collaborative environment that emphasizes patient-centered care. The NP will report to the Chief Nurse Practitioner and receive direction from the Medical Director within the Division of Cardiology, providing essential support to individuals with cardiovascular conditions.

Work Environment

The role is based at an assisted living facility in Elmira, New York, allowing for close interactions with patients in a familiar and supportive setting. Here, you will engage with a diverse patient population, ensuring that cardiac care is accessible and comprehensive. The facility offers a friendly and collaborative atmosphere where interdisciplinary teamwork is encouraged and valued. The typical work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no required on-call duties, evenings, or weekends, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner in our cardiology division, you will:

• Provide comprehensive care to patients, managing chronic conditions such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
• Deliver outpatient Electrophysiology services to patients experiencing arrhythmias and abnormal ECGs, ensuring thorough evaluation and management.
• Treat acute cardiac conditions including Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and stroke-related conditions.
• Conduct stress tests to evaluate cardiac function under duress and provide education on test results and treatment plans.
• Perform full patient history assessments and physical examinations, along with prescribing medications as indicated.
• Collaborate closely with on-site cardiologists for patient consultations, focusing on optimal management and referral practices.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment options, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications to enhance heart health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your principal focus will be on managing adult patients suffering from a range of cardiovascular diseases and conditions. This entails developing an understanding of each patient’s unique circumstances and working together to establish effective treatment plans. Emphasizing preventive care and patient education will be essential in promoting heart health and improving overall patient outcomes.

Qualifications

To ensure success in this role, candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• A Master’s or Doctoral Degree as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
• An active Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
• Certification from a recognized certifying body for Nurse Practitioners.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in cardiology, whether from inpatient or outpatient settings, will be highly regarded. However, we also welcome new graduates who display a strong commitment to cardiac care and a desire to learn. Compensation and Benefits
