Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, preferences, and therapy goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the unique challenges faced by each client.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to promote their understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Monitor client progress throughout treatment and adapt plans as necessary to ensure optimal results and address any emerging concerns.

• Engage with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for integrated care that supports mental and physical health needs.

• Stay informed about advancements in mood disorder research and treatments to continually enhance therapeutic practices and outcomes.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines for patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will provide vital support to diverse populations, including those who are homeless, refugees, or victims of domestic violence, ensuring they receive the specialized care necessary for their recovery. The goal is not only to alleviate symptoms but also to empower clients towards sustainable mental health and wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
