Position Overview

Urban Community Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a full-time remote telehealth capacity. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead impactful counseling and psychotherapeutic interventions, enhancing the well-being of our diverse clients. With a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 90,000 annually, we also offer a sign-on bonus for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to identify each client’s mental health needs and tailor treatment plans accordingly.
• Implement effective counseling and psychotherapeutic interventions, adapting methodologies to fit the individual contexts of clients.
• Monitor the progress of clients throughout the therapy journey, recommending adjustments to the treatment plan as required to optimize outcomes.
• Build strong therapeutic relationships, maintaining an engaging and warm presence to ensure clients feel supported and understood during every session.
• Stay informed about the latest counseling techniques and best practices to enhance client care and contribute to the organization’s knowledge base.
• Facilitate referrals to other mental health providers when necessary to ensure comprehensive client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will encompass a wide array of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. You will work with diverse age groups and backgrounds, requiring sensitivity and adaptability to meet their specific needs.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Current state licensing as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with all required credentials to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Demonstrated exceptional communication skills, along with the ability to foster open dialogue with clients.
• A strong aptitude for building rapport with clients to cultivate a trusting therapeutic alliance.
• Competency in providing tailored treatment strategies that align with the unique circumstances of each patient.
• Willingness to collaborate with other healthcare professionals for holistic client care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous telehealth counseling experience is preferred, as familiarity with virtual platforms enhances service delivery.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, is advantageous.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and the ability to implement them effectively in a telehealth setting.
