Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including their severity, duration, and frequency.

• Collaborate with clients to co-create tailored treatment plans that reflect their distinct needs, therapeutic goals, and personal preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist clients in managing their mental health.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, potential treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
\n
• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout the treatment journey, making necessary modifications to treatment plans in response to their evolving needs.

• Engage with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to provide integrated, holistic care to clients.

• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in mood disorder treatment to enhance clinical skills and improve patient outcomes.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals facing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. This diverse clientele ranges from adolescents to adults, requiring you to be adaptable and empathetic. Clients may come from various cultural backgrounds, which enhances the need for a culturally competent approach in treatment and support.

Qualifications\n

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based modalities targeted at mood disorders, specifically CBT and DBT.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Robust understanding of psychopharmacology and a strong capacity for interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Two years of post-licensure experience specifically focusing on mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
