Breakthrough Rehabilitation & Treatment Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Specialist Physical Therapist to join our team in Metuchen, New Jersey. Work Environment

You will work onsite in our Metuchen facility, which features modern rehabilitation equipment and resources to assist in patient treatment. Our team-oriented environment champions communication and collaboration among staff members and other healthcare providers. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for consistent scheduling and opportunities for team engagement. You will be part of a supportive network of professionals dedicated to fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans that align with their rehabilitation goals.

• Implement and modify treatment protocols based on assessment findings and ongoing patient needs, ensuring adherence to best practices in the ever-evolving healthcare landscape.

• Document patient treatment activities, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to maintain accurate and compliant records of patient care.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.

• Provide professional consultations regarding patient conditions and progress, effectively communicating with patients, their families, and insurance providers as needed.

• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education sessions to share insights, improve practices, and maintain awareness of industry changes and advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will serve a diverse range of patients experiencing various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain. Your role will be integral in helping patients regain mobility and strength, enhancing both their physical abilities and overall well-being. A compassionate approach to care will be essential as you guide patients through their rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy, preferably in an outpatient setting.

• Familiarity with various treatment modalities and a successful history of implementing evidence-based interventions.

Compensation and Benefits
