Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to thoroughly evaluate the mental health and substance use needs of clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their unique challenges.

• Create and implement evidence-based treatment plans collaboratively with clients, tailored specifically to their conditions and personal goals.

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing different therapeutic modalities to address the diverse needs of patients.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations, organizational policies, and best practices in mental health care.

• Work closely within a multidisciplinary treatment team, collaborating with psychologists, social workers, and other professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care.

• Participate actively in case reviews and treatment planning meetings to analyze progress and make necessary adjustments to client care plans.

• Provide crisis intervention services as required, remaining calm and effective in high-pressure situations.

• Stay informed about the latest trends, research, and practices in mental health and substance abuse treatment, actively seeking opportunities for professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be working with a diverse population of clients, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and other mental health challenges. As a mental health counselor, you will be integral in fostering a supportive environment that encourages clients to express their emotions, set personal goals, and develop effective coping strategies, ultimately enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required for this role.

• Current licensure as a mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.

Preferred Experience\n

Preference will be given to candidates with specific experience in addiction treatment, trauma-informed care, or who have completed relevant training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or EMDR. Experience working in an outpatient setting will be viewed favorably as will any additional certifications relevant to mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
