Director of Business Development

We are seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Director of Business Development to help drive growth within the construction industry.

In this role, you'll identify and pursue new opportunities, build relationships with clients, owners, developers, and industry influencers, and work closely with internal teams to develop solutions that meet client needs. This is an opportunity for someone who understands the construction process and knows how to turn strong relationships and market knowledge into new business.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute business development strategies alongside senior leadership.
Identify new project opportunities through market research, networking, and client engagement.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, owners, developers, and key industry influencers.
Lead strategic pursuit plans and support go/no-go decisions.
Partner with preconstruction and operations teams to understand client needs and develop solutions.
Oversee proposals, presentations, and other pursuit materials.
Track opportunities, client activity, and market intelligence within the CRM.
Attend industry events, trade organizations, and networking opportunities.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to business development team members.

What We're Looking For

10+ years of relevant experience , including 5+ years in business development and 3+ years in construction project management or a related construction role
Strong understanding of design-build and the construction project lifecycle
Proven ability to build relationships and develop new business within the construction or real estate industry.
Experience leading strategic pursuits, proposals, and client presentations.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
