Work Environment

This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Newburgh, NY, equipped with modern therapy tools and technologies to facilitate optimal recovery. As a key member of the rehabilitation team, you will collaborate in a lively, encouraging setting, where excellence in patient care is at the forefront. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a consistent schedule that allows for work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patient conditions and functional limitations, devising comprehensive and personalized therapy plans that prioritize individual goals.
• Implement therapeutic exercises alongside manual techniques to facilitate recovery, including modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations, adapting treatment protocols as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Guide patients and their families in understanding rehabilitation methods that can be integrated into daily activities to promote long-term healing.
• Document all treatment interventions and patient progress meticulously within our electronic health record (EHR) system to enable seamless care coordination and compliance with health regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will serve a diverse population within our skilled nursing facility, including post-operative patients, individuals recovering from stroke or orthopedic conditions, and those requiring rehabilitative care following serious illnesses. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing their quality of life through recovery processes that restore functional independence.

Qualifications

• Possess an active Physical Therapist license in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; however, a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a physical therapist, ideally within a rehabilitation or skilled nursing setting.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, empathy, and a patient-first approach to care.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, contributing to comprehensive patient care strategies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in developing and utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and rehabilitation technologies.
• Background in patient education, particularly in techniques for home exercise and wellness maintenance.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
