Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough behavioral health assessments and deliver individualized counseling sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients.

• Provide case management services to Black birthing families, addressing their social, emotional, and psychological wellbeing throughout their perinatal journey.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical providers, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Co-facilitate childbirth education sessions and postpartum peer support groups in partnership with birth workers, creating a safe and supportive community.
\n
• Engage actively in community initiatives aimed at promoting holistic wellness and building village support systems for birthing individuals and their families.
\n
• Participate in regular clinical consultations and collaborative learning activities to enhance service delivery and professional development.
\n
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all clinical interactions, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on serving Black birthing families, who often face unique barriers to accessing adequate healthcare services. By providing culturally competent counseling and support, we strive to improve the mental health outcomes of our clients, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and understood throughout their perinatal experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in a behavioral science or related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC is mandatory.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, navigate challenges, and seek assistance when necessary.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage professionally with a diverse, multicultural team and client population.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in community-based mental health settings, particularly with pregnant and postpartum populations, is highly desirable.

• Previous experience with telehealth platforms or remote counseling methods.

• Annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
