Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and gather comprehensive history to document cases from consultation through to treatment conclusion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform treatment strategies.
\n
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, drawing from evidence-based practices.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers, to coordinate client care.

• Manage referral processes effectively to ensure that clients receive comprehensive support and necessary ancillary services.

• Provide follow-up with healthcare providers for clients requiring hospitalization or additional medical attention.

• Educate families and primary caregivers on coping strategies and treatment approaches for managing mental health challenges.

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and addiction disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary for effective therapy and documentation.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, along with a genuine, empathetic nature to foster strong client relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, preferably within a telehealth framework.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AVATAR to manage client documentation and care plans.

• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and the guidelines set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• An understanding of the interactions of various medications prescribed by medical specialists and their effects on mental health.
