Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document client cases from initial consultations through the entirety of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health using evidence-based assessment tools.
\n
• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on clinical assessments.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for discussion and healing.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Follow up with clients hospitalized during treatment to ensure continuity of care and assess post-treatment needs.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Offer guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers to better manage the mental and behavioral challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients vary in age, background, and presenting issues. We serve individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and various mental health disorders. As a mental health counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse populations, employing culturally competent approaches to accommodate different needs effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.
\n
• A passing score on the NCE and/or NCMHCE exams.
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing strong clinical skills and a commitment to best practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, with preference for AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Experience managing clients with co-occurring physical and emotional health concerns, including addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the guidelines and best practices put forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their implications on therapy.
\n
• Excellent communication skills that facilitate positive interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
