Production Manager – Befco, Inc. - Lawn & Ground Care Equipment Manufacturing
Location: Rocky Mount, NC
We are seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead our steel manufacturing operations for lawn and ground care equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily factory operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Manage, train, and support production teams.
- Operate and supervise use of manufacturing equipment including laser cutters, press brakes, saw cutters , and other machinery common to steel fabrication.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings , ensuring accurate production.
- Work with engineering teams to review and, when needed, contribute to technical drawings.
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related) preferred.
- Proven experience in steel manufacturing environments.
- Strong blueprint reading/drawing skills with attention to technical accuracy.
- Practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
