Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with physicians, school administrators, and other healthcare providers to develop a coordinated care plan tailored for assigned patients.
• Conduct thorough evaluations by obtaining comprehensive medical, physical, and psycho-social histories, performing health assessments, and executing detailed physical examinations.
• Implement age-appropriate and history-based preventive screenings to identify potential health issues early, enhancing the overall health of your patient population.
• Utilize your skills to formulate differential diagnoses based on patient history, clinical examination, and diagnostic findings, ensuring accurate treatment strategies.
• Design and implement patient education plans, empowering students and their families with knowledge about health and wellness practices.
• Prescribe and manage therapeutic interventions, incorporating both pharmacologic options and non-pharmacologic strategies to treat a wide array of medical conditions.
• Handle delegated responsibilities as needed, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the healthcare team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Nurse Practitioner with CareMed, you will primarily serve a pediatric population within the school system. You will be responsible for addressing common health issues faced by students, promoting preventive care, and identifying any chronic conditions that may affect school performance. Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner.
• An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.

Compensation and Benefits
