Key Responsibilities

As an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner, you will have a wide range of responsibilities that contribute to comprehensive patient care:

• Conduct thorough initial patient histories and perform detailed physical examinations to assess health status.
• Develop, document, and communicate tailored plans of care, ensuring all diagnostic and treatment protocols are clearly understood and followed.
• Perform daily patient rounds, monitoring progress and adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize patient health.
• Write and manage orders for medications, laboratory tests, and diagnostic procedures while interpreting results to guide treatment decisions.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, and nursing staff to ensure seamless communication and effective delivery of healthcare services.
• Document discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals, providing patients with clear post-discharge care instructions for ongoing recovery.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives and participate in educational activities to enhance personal and team growth.
• Execute other related duties as needed, contributing to a flexible and adaptive care environment.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program and National Board Certification in a relevant specialty area.
• Current licensing to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Adherence to collaborative practice agreements or attestation as required by the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act of 2015.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience

While not required, preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in internal medicine settings, particularly those that demonstrate strong clinical skills, communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical workflows will also be beneficial in navigating our scheduling and documentation protocols effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 150,000 – 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
