Senior Social Worker - Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) for Detox Center

Position Overview

Bright Path Social Work is seeking a full-time Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our dedicated team at our detox center located in the vibrant city of Jacksonville, Florida. In this vital role, you will deliver compassionate support and comprehensive care to individuals undergoing detoxification, ensuring their well-being and guiding them through their recovery journey. You will be responsible for conducting thorough psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing appropriate care plans, and collaborating with diverse healthcare professionals to promote optimal health outcomes.

Work Environment

Working remotely, this full-time position provides flexibility to accommodate the needs of our clients while maintaining a structured schedule. Regular work hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. However, occasional evening or weekend hours may be necessary based on client requirements. You will be expected to engage in an on-call rotation to address urgent situations that may arise outside of regular hours. This role requires adaptability to effectively meet the various challenges presented by client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments of clients' psychosocial needs, identifying emotional, mental, and social factors affecting their well-being.
• Collaborate closely with clients and their families to design personalized care plans that align with their specific goals and preferences for recovery.
• Provide counseling and emotional support, guiding clients through transitions and helping them navigate the complexities of detox and rehabilitation.
• Advocate for clients’ rights, ensuring they have access to essential community resources and support services.
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams comprising healthcare providers, nurses, and addiction specialists to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Regularly monitor clients' well-being through home visits and ongoing assessments to ensure safety and effectiveness of the care plan.
• Facilitate constructive communication among family members to resolve conflicts and enhance family support dynamics during treatment.
• Educate clients and their families about available community resources, support groups, and programs to promote social engagement and recovery.
• Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, assessments, and progress notes to adhere to regulatory standards.
• Continuously engage in professional development to stay updated on best practices in social work and substance abuse treatment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• At least two years of experience in a social work role, ideally within a detox or substance use treatment setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of social work principles, substance use disorders, and available community resources in Jacksonville.
• Exceptional assessment, counseling, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong empathy, compassion, and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, essential for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to track client history and care plans.

Compensation and Benefits
