Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Harford Therapeutic & Anxiety Services, you will:

• Manage a caseload of clients, establishing rapport and maintaining professional boundaries to foster a trusting therapeutic alliance.

• Conduct regular sessions to evaluate client progress, discuss concerns, and determine readiness for discharge when appropriate.
\n
• Create and implement personalized, client-centered treatment plans that reflect each client's unique goals and needs.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, including detailed progress notes and updates in compliance with organizational policies.
\n
• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to gather pertinent information for treatment planning.
\n
• Engage in individual supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and ensure adherence to ethical practices.
\n
• Participate in continuous professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus on a diverse client population, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to work closely with both psychiatric patients and individuals dealing with substance use disorders, making a significant impact in their lives through focused therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

• Ability to meet internal credentialing requirements in relevant clinical settings.

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.
\n
• Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and both individual and group therapy methodologies.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, additional credentials or experience in specialized areas such as trauma-informed care, CBT, or family therapy would be advantageous. Previous experience providing telehealth services will be considered a plus, as we seek to optimize our remote therapy offerings for clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
