Work Environment

Our outpatient facility in North Fort Myers, a vibrant community known for its welcoming atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, offers a supportive and engaged environment for both employees and patients. The clinic operates on a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with potential variable weekends, allowing for both flexibility and stability. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of new patients, identifying their functional limitations and determining individualized treatment plans that align with best practices in orthopedic care.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, continually monitoring and adjusting treatment strategies to optimize patient progress and satisfaction.
• Enhance communication among interdisciplinary team members by maintaining clear and accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in consultations with other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive approach to each patient's continuum of care, thereby promoting comprehensive health outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises, pain management techniques, and lifestyle modifications that support recovery and prevent future injuries.
• Evaluate treatment results and make informed decisions regarding discharge plans, ensuring that each patient is equipped with the necessary resources for ongoing care.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by adhering to high standards of customer service and effectively interacting with individuals of varying backgrounds and cultures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with adult patients suffering from a variety of orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Each patient interaction will focus on achieving functional rehabilitation goals and enhancing their quality of life through tailored therapeutic modalities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited educational institution.
• Current licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in the state of Florida, granted by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy or a related field.
• Current certification in CPR to ensure the safety and welfare of our patients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes can be advantageous.
• Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation techniques and patient-centered approaches in orthopedic therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
