The Ace Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to join our passionate team in North Fort Myers, Florida. In this full-time role, you will be pivotal in helping patients recover from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, enhancing their mobility and overall quality of life. Our practice is committed to providing personalized, evidence-based care to individuals focusing on regaining strength, mobility, and independence following orthopedic challenges. Our facility boasts a state-of-the-art 5000 square foot sports medicine environment equipped with advanced therapeutic tools that enhance patient recovery.

Work Environment

Our clinic operates in a collaborative and dynamic onsite setting. As part of a cohesive team comprised of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will find a supportive atmosphere where professional growth is encouraged. The facility is designed for optimal patient engagement, allowing you to conduct individualized therapy sessions in well-equipped and inviting spaces. You will follow a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance while dedicating your talents to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial patient evaluations to identify individual goals and needs effectively.
• Manage a typical caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring focused and high-quality therapy.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques and modalities to develop effective care plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
• Implement cost-effective strategies to enhance patients' range of motion, strength, and functional mobility.
• Evaluate the progress of treatment interventions regularly and adjust care plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment details meticulously in compliance with clinic standards, using WebPT EMR Software.
• Inspire and motivate patients to take an active role in their rehabilitation process, encouraging a proactive approach towards health and wellness.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nutritionists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in orthopedic therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, sports injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. Most of our clients have private medical insurance, allowing for a tailored and focused treatment approach without the constraints often associated with broader healthcare settings. You will work closely with each patient, understanding their motivations and challenges to create effective and individualized therapy plans that cater to their specific needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Florida State license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record without any board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proven proficiency in manual therapy techniques and strength training protocols.
• Strong capability in designing customized exercise and rehabilitation programs tailored to patient specifics.
• Familiarity with WebPT EMR Software for patient documentation is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred, providing you with the essential skills needed to thrive in our high-demand environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing evidence-based interventions that lead to tangible improvements in patient mobility and quality of life.
• Experience in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, fostering collaborative approaches to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 100,000 and USD 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
