Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document client interactions from the initial consultation through the completion of treatment, ensuring that all case notes reflect the client’s journey accurately.

• Evaluate the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of clients to inform customized intervention plans tailored to their specific needs.
\n
• Develop and implement effective treatment and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and support groups, utilizing evidence-based practices.
\n
• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment where clients feel safe and empowered to share their experiences.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on client feedback and clinical insight.
\n
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective interventions.

• Engage in proactive follow-up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who have experienced hospitalization to ensure continuity of care post-discharge.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to address these challenges promptly.

• Work with family members and primary caregivers to provide support and resources for managing mental behavioral issues effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will serve a diverse client population, including individuals facing various mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to more complex emotional disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• Successful completion of the National Counseling Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is mandatory.

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, with a strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and interventions.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to document cases and manage client data efficiently.
\n
• Knowledge of underlying physical and emotional health conditions and experience in treating addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to articulate complex ideas clearly and provide empathetic support.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for building trusting relationships with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling is preferred, although fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

• Experience working with various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care, is advantageous.
