This role is primarily a remote position, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while serving clients in the Elk Grove, California area. Although you will be working remotely, regular virtual meetings with colleagues and clinical supervisors are required to maintain a high standard of therapeutic care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored specifically to the unique needs of older adults, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their emotional and psychological challenges.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans focused on each client's cognitive, physical, and social dynamics, using evidence-based practices.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions that address geriatric psychiatric conditions, including grief, depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders, through individualized therapy sessions and family therapy.

• Work alongside geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, ensuring each client receives holistic treatment that considers both mental and physical health aspects.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment alternatives, and community resources available to enhance their support systems.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

This position concentrates on providing mental health support to older adults, addressing the complexities of geriatric mental health, including but not limited to cognitive decline, social isolation, and the emotional impact of chronic illnesses. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• An active and valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California is a must.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure therapy experience, particularly in a geriatric setting, is preferred.

• Solid understanding of geriatric mental health disorders, including evidence-based treatment modalities and relevant interventions.

• Proven experience in delivering individual and family therapy designed for older adults.

Compensation and Benefits\n
