Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage in clinical consultation sessions, collaborating with team members from diverse professional backgrounds to enhance service delivery.

• Complete all required clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines and standards.

• Provide direct services, including behavioral health assessments, individual counseling, and comprehensive case management tailored to the unique needs of Black birthing families.

• Stay abreast of current best practices and community resources to effectively support clients in navigating various life challenges.

• Participate in case reviews and quality assurance processes to continuously improve service delivery.

• Assist with outreach efforts to engage clients and promote mental health awareness within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting Black birthing families, a crucial demographic often underserved in mental health services. By building strong rapport and providing culturally competent care, you will help clients navigate the complexities of maternal mental health, addressing issues such as postpartum depression and anxiety, trauma, and relationship dynamics. Your expertise and empathy will foster a safe space for clients to explore their mental health needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid and active license (LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT) in the state of California.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele as well as interdisciplinary team members.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage a productive caseload efficiently.
\n
• A commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity in providing care.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in telehealth practices and familiarity with virtual care platforms will be highly beneficial. Previous work with maternal mental health or community-outreach programs focused on Black families is a plus. Additionally, proficiency in clinical documentation software enhances your eligibility for this position.
