Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments tailored to the specific needs of Black birthing families.
\n
• Provide individualized counseling and case management to support mental wellness and coping strategies during pregnancy and postpartum.
\n
• Consult with prenatal care team members regularly to coordinate and enhance the quality of integrated health services.
\n
• Participate in co-facilitating childbirth education classes and postpartum peer support groups alongside experienced birth workers, fostering a sense of community and shared experience.

• Document client interactions and treatment plans meticulously, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and best practices.

• Perform additional administrative or clinical tasks as required to support the operational and therapeutic goals of the program.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves Black birthing families, who often face systemic inequities in healthcare access and mental health services. Our program aims to mitigate these barriers by delivering responsive, culturally sensitive care that acknowledges the unique challenges these families encounter. Your expertise will empower mothers and families to navigate their environments confidently and support their mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field.

• Active licensure in California as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC, demonstrating the ability to practice independently in a remote setting.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse populations and professional teams.

• Ability to provide trauma-informed care and adapt therapeutic approaches based on individual family needs.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with Black communities, particularly regarding reproductive health and mental health.

• Familiarity with resilient practices in prenatal and postpartum care.

• Previous experience in case management and/or group facilitation.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload.
