Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage in community outreach and engagement activities that promote holistic wellness while building a supportive network for birthing individuals and families.

• Contribute to clinical consultations and multidisciplinary meetings to ensure a shared understanding of best practices in mental health.

• Complete thorough and timely clinical documentation, including assessments and progress notes, to meet regulatory and organizational standards.

• Provide comprehensive direct services such as behavioral health assessments, counseling sessions, and case management for clients, focusing on Black birthing families.
\n
• Collaborate actively with colleagues and seek assistance when necessary to optimize patient care and personal development.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based interventions and culturally relevant approaches to enhance treatment outcomes for clients.
\n
• Offer training and mentorship to other staff members and new hires to share best practices and clinical insights.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on serving Black birthing families, recognizing the unique mental health challenges they face during and after pregnancy. By implementing culturally sensitive approaches, our therapists facilitate an environment that fosters trust and healing. The therapist will be an active advocate for this community, ensuring they receive tailored resources and guidance in their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage effectively with a diverse, multicultural team.

• Capacity to work independently and efficiently while being open to seeking guidance and support when needed.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience working with birthing individuals and families, particularly in relation to mental health challenges.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
\n
• Previous involvement in community-based mental health initiatives or outreach programs is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, between $120,000 and $130,000 per year, depending on your caseload size and relevant experience.
