Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and maintain thorough documentation of client cases from initial consultation through to treatment conclusion, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health through standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews, informing intervention strategies.
\n
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and group therapy participants.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and efficacious individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to foster positive change and coping strategies.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress against treatment goals, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to meet evolving client needs.
\n
• Collaborate and coordinate efforts with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.

• Follow up with clients who have been admitted to the hospital, ensuring a smooth transition back to outpatient services and continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery or interventions and work proactively to mitigate these challenges through education and support for both clients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A successfully completed National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong experience working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating proficiency in managing diverse client cases.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for documentation and patient management.
\n
• Deep understanding of mental health conditions, including comorbidities relating to physical and emotional health, as well as substance use disorders.

Preferred Experience\n

• Hands-on experience employing various therapeutic techniques aligned with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Comprehensive knowledge about psychotropic medications and their implications on client treatment and recovery.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, coupled with outstanding interpersonal skills that enable effective relationship-building with clients and colleagues alike.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an annual salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
