Key Responsibilities\n

• Consult with prenatal care team members such as physicians, midwives, and lactation consultants to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients.

• Co-facilitate childbirth education workshops and peer support groups alongside birth workers, fostering community learning and support.
\n
• Engage actively in community outreach programs to promote wellness and support networks among birthing families.
\n
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical consultations to share knowledge and enhance treatment approaches.

• Document client interactions and treatment plans thoroughly, adhering to the highest standards of clinical compliance.
\n
• Deliver direct mental health services including behavioral health assessments, counseling, and case management tailored to the unique needs of Black birthing families.

• Complete other related tasks as directed to support the operation of the clinic and ensure client satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on providing support to Black birthing families, addressing their specific cultural and emotional needs. You will empower clients through therapeutic techniques that foster resilience and coping skills as they navigate the challenges of childbirth and postpartum experiences.

Qualifications\n

• Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor is required (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC).

• A Master's degree in a behavioral science or a closely related field from an accredited institution is essential.

• Demonstrated capability to interact effectively with diverse groups, including patients and professionals from various backgrounds.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to create impactful and engaging client interactions.
