Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct behavioral health assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of Black birthing families and develop tailored counseling plans.

• Provide direct counseling services, offering emotional support and guidance to clients navigating their perinatal experiences.
\n
• Engage in case management, coordinating care with prenatal care team members, including medical providers, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants to ensure comprehensive and integrated support.
\n
• Co-facilitate online childbirth education and postpartum support groups, collaborating with experienced birth workers to deliver valuable information and emotional support.
\n
• Participate in community engagement initiatives designed to foster holistic wellness and a sense of community among birthing individuals and their families.
\n
• Actively contribute to clinical consultation sessions and multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance collaborative learning and service delivery.
\n
• Complete all clinical documentation as required in a timely and organized manner, ensuring compliance with agency policies and state regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on Black birthing families, an underserved population that faces unique challenges during the perinatal period. By providing tailored support and culturally informed interventions, you will help improve mental health outcomes and empower these families during a critical phase of life.

Qualifications\n

• A master's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse, multicultural clients and colleagues.

• A proactive approach to collaboration and the ability to seek assistance when faced with challenges.

Preferred Experience\n
