Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Remote Mental Health Therapist, you will engage in a variety of essential duties, including:

• Conducting thorough behavioral health assessments and individualized care plans for clients.
\n
• Providing professional counseling services, tailored to meet the needs of Black birthing families, through virtual sessions.
\n
• Collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary prenatal care team, including medical providers and support professionals like midwives and doulas, to ensure comprehensive care.
\n
• Co-facilitating childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups alongside skilled birth workers to enrich community resources.
\n
• Maintaining accurate client documentation and compliance with telehealth regulations and ethical standards.
\n
• Participating in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on providing mental health support to Black birthing families who often face unique challenges during and after pregnancy. By understanding their varied backgrounds, our aim is to promote mental health wellness during this critical life transition, ensuring each client feels heard, respected, and empowered in their journey toward parenthood.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
\n
• Hold an active license in California as a Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
\n
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating professionalism in interactions with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
\n
• A strong capacity for self-management and initiative in seeking guidance and resources when needed.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

Compensation and Benefits\n
