Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide direct mental health services, including behavioral health assessments, counseling sessions, and case management tailored to Black birthing families.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary prenatal care teams, including doctors, midwives, doulas, and lactation specialists, to ensure comprehensive care.

• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum support groups, creating a nurturing environment for new and expectant parents.
\n
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to build lasting relationships and promote village-building within the client population.
\n
• Participate in clinical consultations and multidisciplinary learning opportunities, continually enhancing professional skills and knowledge.

• Complete all required clinical documentation in a timely and thorough manner to ensure compliance with resources and regulations.

• Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the organization and its clients.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is required.

• A Master’s degree in a behavioral science or a related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of professionals and clients.

• Demonstrated proficiency in working efficiently in a remote setting while being proactive in seeking assistance and resources when required.

Preferred Experience\n

Previous experience working with perinatal mental health, birthing families, or in a community-centered approach to counseling is advantageous. Familiarity with telehealth practices and electronic health record systems can significantly enhance your effectiveness in this role.
