Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to create personalized treatment plans that cater to each patient's specific needs and goals.
• Implement effective therapy interventions using manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes, utilizing our EMR software, particularly WebPT, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term health and wellness.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and orthopedic specialists, to optimize patient care through shared insights and resources.
• Continuously monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patients' progress, encouraging engagement and motivation throughout the recovery process.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle and advocate for non-surgical interventions that enhance patient recovery and mobility.
• Stay updated on current physical therapy research and practices to improve patient care methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients typically include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. By focusing on a diverse population that may also include athletes and elderly individuals, you will play an essential role in improving their functional abilities and guiding them towards achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Hold an active, unblemished license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various physical therapy techniques and manual therapy modalities is required.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients, fostering a motivating therapy atmosphere.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient setting, particularly within sports medicine or orthopedic rehabilitation, is highly valued.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record systems, with familiarity in WebPT being a plus.
• Knowledge of current physical therapy trends, research, and best practices is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
