Liberty Coaching & Counselling Services is looking for a dedicated Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Sacramento, California. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while contributing directly to the mental health and wellbeing of students in an educational environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive social work assessments, providing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with families and community resources to help students overcome personal and academic challenges.

The position is primarily remote, allowing for a flexible work schedule within standard office hours of Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. While much of the communication and intervention will occur virtually, you will be embedded within school systems, collaborating with educators and support staff to implement strategies that promote student success. This remote setting enhances your ability to reach families in a timely manner, providing them with accessible mental health resources.

• Conduct initial assessments of students referred for counseling, evaluating their strengths, challenges, and social support systems to create personalized intervention plans.
• Employ a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique needs of each client, ensuring evidence-based practices are implemented effectively.
• Design and facilitate individual and family counseling sessions, promoting skills development in areas such as coping mechanisms and emotional regulation.
• Provide vocational and experiential coaching to students and their families, helping them navigate educational and career-related challenges.
• Collaborate with school staff and community organizations to coordinate relevant services and resources, enhancing the overall support network for students.
• Respond to crisis situations with appropriate intervention methods while documenting the incidents and follow-up strategies as required by state and federal regulations.
• Deliver guidance and support over the phone to families experiencing immediate concerns, demonstrating a responsiveness to urgent needs.
• Maintain licensure in accordance with California's requirements, adhering to ethical guidelines and best practices in the field of social work.
• Provide constructive feedback to multidisciplinary treatment teams regarding student progress and participation, fostering an integrated approach to each client's development.

This role focuses on providing mental health services to school-aged children and their families. Candidates will work in diverse educational environments, addressing issues ranging from academic stress to family crises. The emphasis is on creating a safe, supportive space where students feel respected and empowered to address their personal challenges.

• Valid California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license.
• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work; a Master's Degree from an accredited school is highly preferred.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a healthcare or educational setting.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively in various settings, including presentations to school staff and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, essential for documenting assessments and creating treatment plans.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex client issues promptly and effectively.

• Experience in a school or educational setting, particularly in providing mental health services to children and adolescents.
• Familiarity with the challenges faced by students from diverse backgrounds, including socio-economic factors and behavioral health issues.
• Understanding of local community resources and referral programs available for mental health support.
