Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical status to assess their mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, including hands-on therapy, exercise regimens, and the use of modern rehabilitation equipment.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes, ensuring goals are met efficiently.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, self-management strategies, and the use of assistive devices, enhancing their ability to manage their conditions independently.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, facilitating referrals when necessary to address all aspects of the patient's recovery.
• Document all treatment sessions accurately and regularly, maintaining clear and concise records to track patient progress and inform care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population ranging from children recovering from sports injuries to elderly patients undergoing rehabilitation after surgery or managing chronic conditions. Your empathetic approach and clinical expertise will be vital in motivating patients and helping them achieve their therapeutic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher, such as Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT), is required.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage treatment plans and documentation.
• A collaborative spirit and a passion for patient care, with a flexible mindset to adapt to changing patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in a rehabilitation or clinical setting is required.

Compensation and Benefits
