Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and assessments during initial client consultations, ensuring comprehensive documentation from intake through treatment completion.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that consider clients' unique needs, including interventions applicable to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques and strategies to foster positive change.

• Monitor and document client progress regularly, using data-driven methods to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
\n
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create and implement effective intervention strategies.

• Manage referrals for clients needing additional services and conduct follow-ups with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.

• Identify potentially harmful behaviors that can impede recovery and employ preventative strategies to support clients effectively.

• Provide support and guidance for family members and primary caregivers on managing mental health challenges, enhancing the overall treatment process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Our clients come from various backgrounds, necessitating an inclusive and culturally competent approach to treatment. Your ability to empathize and connect with clients will be key to fostering a therapeutic alliance that encourages healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A passing score on the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to establish rapport with clients.

• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in outpatient settings, is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and knowledge of medication effects prescribed by healthcare providers.

• Experience managing clients with co-occurring mental health and addiction disorders.
\n
• Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
