Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of clients to identify their specific mental health needs.

• Develop and implement individualized therapeutic plans, utilizing evidence-based modalities tailored to each client's unique circumstances.

• Provide individual, group, family, and couples therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Document therapy sessions accurately and maintain up-to-date clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to client care, enhancing treatment outcomes.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay informed about advancements in mental health treatment and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCPC will provide mental health services primarily to adolescents and their families, many of whom may have limited access to traditional therapy resources. This role is critical in helping clients navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship issues. The counselor will play a vital role in improving the emotional well-being of young individuals and nurturing resilience in their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland.

Compensation and Benefits\n
