Key Responsibilities

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including:

• Directing and implementing personalized treatment plans to prevent disability, relieve pain, and improve or restore muscle function.
• Overseeing physical therapy assistants to ensure effective execution of care plans and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical capabilities using diagnostic muscle, joint, and functional assessments.
• Assessing clients' home environments to recommend enhancements that support rehabilitation and independence.
• Administering manual and therapeutic exercises, guiding clients in functional activities, and motivating them to initiate physical activity.
• Utilizing various modalities for treatment, including traction and massage, to optimize recovery.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices while providing recommendations to patients and healthcare providers.
• Participating actively in care plan development, contributing insights during interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Documenting clinical findings, care plans, and progress notes to maintain comprehensive patient records.
• Providing guidance and support to patients and their families regarding therapy devices and overall care programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, and seeking rehabilitation after injuries. Our clients range widely in demographics and physical abilities, making your role vital in delivering personalized care that impacts their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• A graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia (in good standing).
• At least two years of experience in physical therapy practice, preferably in an outpatient or home-care setting.
• Valid CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license with appropriate automobile insurance.

Compensation and Benefits
