Work Environment

Our outpatient office in Richmond features a collaborative and progressive work setting that emphasizes teamwork and shared knowledge among healthcare professionals. Operating from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, our therapists work closely with each other and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care. You will have access to advanced therapeutic modalities and tools that enable effective rehabilitation strategies, all while fostering a positive and energetic atmosphere for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored care to each patient, understanding their personal goals and rehabilitation history to devise effective treatment plans.
• Manage a reasonable caseload to ensure that you can devote adequate time and focus to each patient's unique therapeutic needs.
• Demonstrate your expertise in orthopedic care by implementing evidence-based practices that enhance mobility and restore function.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to improve patient outcomes.
• Regularly assess patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly, ensuring that care remains aligned with patients' evolving requirements.
• Promote the use of non-surgical treatments whenever possible, reducing reliance on medications and empowering patients to take charge of their recovery.
• Maintain meticulous documentation using EMR software, such as Web PT, ensuring the integrity of patient records and treatment protocols.
• Encourage patients to adopt healthy lifestyle choices, focusing on strength, flexibility, and coordination to enhance their overall well-being.
• Engage in continuous professional development to remain current with the latest physical therapy practices and techniques.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team, participating in interdisciplinary meetings and discussions to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active physical therapist license in Virginia, free from sanctions or board proceedings.

• Proficiency in utilizing EMR software, particularly Web PT, for effective patient documentation and care coordination.
• A commitment to continuing education and staying informed on the latest advancements in physical therapy methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
